The boat ride over from The Spit to the glacier Lake trailhead was amazing. Such a great boat that feels steady, safe and relaxing as there are multiple seats and spaces to be on the boat. This is a great boat to go with a few friends or a larger group because you can talk to each other fairly easily as you take the trip over. The glacier hike Trail was a super easy 3 miles up fairly flat most of the way and opens onto a breathtaking view of the lake in glacier. - Sky C

Amazing and timely bay taxi! It has the capacity for 28 and was as smooth as silk. Colter expedited us to Peterson Bay Ocean and Sea Life Center dock with its precarious tidal lagoon without a hitch and picked us up on the beach with his landing craft at low tide.   • Yes. Reservations are required for all trips. While we operate on a daily schedule, we only stop at destinations that have been reserved. Booking in advance ensures your spot and helps us provide efficient service for all passengers.

  • When booking, you'll first select your departure time, then choose a return trip based on how long you'd like to spend at your destination. Whether you're planning a quick visit or a full day of hiking, there's a return option to fit your adventure.

  • Absolutely! Well-behaved pets are welcome aboard. We kindly ask that they remain under your control at all times and that you clean up after them to help keep the boat enjoyable for everyone.

  • We recommend dressing for Alaska's ever-changing weather. Be sure to bring:

    • Rain gear and layers

    • Sturdy hiking boots

    • Hiking poles (especially helpful for those with bad knees)

    • Plenty of water and snacks

    • Personal medications

    • A small first aid kit or emergency essentials

    • Bear protection, if you choose to carry it

  • We depart from Slip C-12 in the Homer Harbor. The closest access point is Ramp 1 near the Salty Dawg. We recommend arriving 15 minutes before your scheduled departure to allow plenty of time for parking, walking to the dock, and boarding.
